  1. Summer season 2026: haze, dust and one clear result

196 sessions at 28 points. Dust cost us some darkness in June, Palermo held steady, and the change at Ragusa Ibla is now hard to dismiss.

  2. Perseids week: 41 sessions in six nights

The August new moon landed on the Perseid peak. It gave us our busiest week so far, and a small lesson from the beach at Mondello.

  3. Your first session: a note for new volunteers

What to bring, what to do when you get there, and the five mistakes nearly everyone makes the first time.

  4. New measuring point: Erice

TP-02 is our 28th point: 750 m above Trapani and about 4.7 times darker than the seafront, when the cloud lets us see it.

  5. Palermo, district by district

Eight points, two new moons, 56 sessions. Ten kilometres and one mountain make the sky almost four times darker.

  6. Winter season 2025–26: the numbers

148 sessions at 27 points, a best night of 21.71 at Piano Battaglia, and the first change big enough to take seriously.
